Nonocross Level 55 Answer
10x10 grid, reveals: Hedgehog
Level 55 is a 10x10 grid with 55 filled cells out of 100. The easiest first move is Row 6: its clues 1 4 1 1 fit only one way. Most players finish it in about 14 minutes. Below is the full solved grid, followed by every logical step if you would rather solve it yourself.

Step-by-step hints for Level 55
Press the button to reveal one step at a time. Each step fills or crosses out cells in a single row or column, in the order a careful player would find them.
- Step 1: Row 6 - the clues 1 4 1 1 plus one gap between blocks add up to 10, so the whole line is fixed. (7 filled, 3 crossed out)
- Step 2: Row 3 - the clue 6 1 leaves only 2 free cells, so the middle of each long block must be filled. (4 filled)
- Step 3: Row 5 - the clue 2 1 4 leaves only 1 free cell, so the middle of each long block must be filled. (4 filled)
- Step 4: Row 7 - the clue 3 1 1 1 leaves only 1 free cell, so the middle of each long block must be filled. (2 filled)
- Step 5: Row 8 - the clue 1 5 leaves only 3 free cells, so the middle of each long block must be filled. (2 filled)
- Step 6: Row 9 - the clue 8 leaves only 2 free cells, so the middle of each long block must be filled. (6 filled)
- Step 7: Column 2 - with the cells already marked, only one arrangement of 1 2 3 fits these positions. (3 filled, 2 crossed out)
- Step 8: Row 3 - with the cells already marked, only one arrangement of 6 1 fits these positions. (3 filled, 2 crossed out)
- Step 9: Column 7 - every block of 1 1 2 is already placed, so the remaining cells are empty. (5 crossed out)

Note: the clues of Level 55 allow more than one valid filling. The hints above lead to the picture the game expects, which is the grid shown at the top.
From here the remaining 4 cells need a longer chain of reasoning. Use the solved grid above to finish.

Tips for 10x10 grids
Big grids reward patience. Do a full pass over all rows, then all columns, and only fill cells you can prove. On a 10x10 board a single crossed-out cell often unlocks a whole line, so mark empties as carefully as fills.
Where players go wrong on Level 55
- The longest line is Row 9 with the clue 8. The overlap rule fixes 6 of its cells before anything else; players who start elsewhere miss that head start.
- Row 10 has the fewest filled cells (2). Cross out its empty cells early; they unlock 1 columns.
- The last line the logic finishes is Column 9. If you are stuck there, every other line is already done, so recount its clue 1 1 2.
